The Library will increase the number of passes from 30 to 40 to accommodate the growing popularity of the free-pass program, and to anticipate a spike in interest during the “Discover Exoplanets: The Search for Alien Earths” exhibit planned May 8–July 25 at the Discovery Center and the Library Station. The 10 additional passes will be available for checkout at the Library Station, exclusively.
Under the Library’s program, adults with a library card may check out a pass at a Springfield-Greene County Library branch that admits up to six people to the Discovery Center.
“Providing reusable passes supports family literacy and engagement, and eliminates a financial barrier for access to learning,” said Library Development Director Melissa Adler. “This program will potentially serve more than 12,000 individuals.”
