Hot Spots Help People Learn and Work Remotely
Now more than ever, we understand how important hot spots are to people who need to study and work remotely. The Library Foundation granted $27,372 from the Laton Endowment to support the Library’s mobile hot spot circulating collection.
The annual distribution from the Laton Endowment supports critical Library purchases and patron services. The endowment was established in 2017 through a generous estate gift from Ursula Marie Laton.
In December, Bass Pro Shops gave the Library Foundation a $4,968 grant to purchase 20 mobile hot spots available for checkout at the Library Station, which serves under-resourced families in northwest Springfield.
