The Library Foundation has received $3,000 in funding from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation for the Summer Reading Pop-Up Library. Grant funding has made it possible for the Outreach Services to purchase all the equipment needed for the pop-up library including four sets of the “ladder-style” book displays, folding table, cart wagon and one set of portable StoryWalk® sign holders to use at Library summer and community events. Manager Allison Eckhardt shared that the pop-up library “Can expand literacy in the community and reach people who do not use the library.” Look for the pop-up library at storytimes in area parks and other community events.
