Staying informed is good, especially during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. But sometimes we need an escape. When the Springfield-Greene County Library District closed its doors in March, we increased access to digital resources so more library patrons could curl up with a good e-book and forget about their worries, even for a little while. A new donor sent this note with a financial gift: “I have enjoyed the variety of books available as e-books!” Welcome to The Library Foundation and thank you for supporting The Library’s efforts to adapt and serve the community.
Many of the library buildings reopened on May 26 and we’re so happy to see patrons browsing the aisles and checking out materials. If you can’t visit us in person the e-books, audiobooks, magazines, movies and music you love are available online. Continue to bring The Library into your home. When you’re ready to visit, our doors are open.
